
Pravinth an Associate Member of CIMA and an ACCA Affiliate has been a CIMA tutor for over nine years and is the most sought after Finance lecturer for CIMA in Sri Lanka. He specializes in the Financial Management pillar subjects and to date has produced numerous Sri Lankan and world prize winners for almost all the different financial management pillar subjects including Financial Strategy. A CIMA world prize winner himself (World Prize for Management Accounting Fundamentals and 2nd in the world for Economics for Business at CIMA Foundation level, as well as Sri Lankan prize for Business Strategy) was one of the few finalists in the CIMA Tutor of the year contest conducted by CIMA UK in 2006. Pravinth was also voted as the "Best Lecturer" for Financial Analysis (P8) by the Sri Lankan students in a survey conducted by CIMA Sri Lanka division in 2005.
His popularity amongst students and success thus far led him to being selected by the CIMA Sri Lanka division to conduct revision as well as "Train The Trainer" (TTT) programmes in countries such as Hong Kong, India, and Pakistan. Pravinth is a frequent visiting lecturer at Christ University Bangalore, India, where he conducts lectures for CIMA Students at the Certificate and Managerial Level
Over the last 9 years Pravinth has been the forefront in lecturing at Imperial College and is regarded by many students as one of the best and most knowledgeable lecturers for CIMA tutoring in Sri Lanka. He lectures at all levels of CIMA and is dedicated to achieving the highest pass rates with students groups. His focus is on achieving success for all students he teaches. His passion for lecturing and unique technique inspires his students, helping them to maximize their learning capabilities and potential in their studies. He has the ability of turning even the most tedious of topics interesting and simple by using his techniques.
Pravinths professional career began at Imperial College in 2003, where he was greatly involved with the CIMA Operation. In 2006, in acknowledgement of his contribution to CIMA education, the Board of Directors at Imperial College appointed him as the Director, Academic Affairs besides being the Head of the CIMA programme. In a short span on time, this talented young individual has played a pivotal role in making Imperial College the success it sees today.
